11 Dec 2018 BREAKING NEWS - North Pole in contact with Track Training regarding Lean Training

Track Training are very proud to announce that we have been approached by representatives of the man of the month, Chris Cringle, with a view to implementing Lean training within the big man’s operations up North. After years of providing billions of toys per year, whilst receiving nothing more than milk and cookies in return, it has been decided that a more viable business strategy may be required for the long term survival of Christmas. Through a Value Stream Mapping exercise, Track Training has identified the following areas to pursue for eradication of waste within Santa’s operations;

1 – Making a list AND checking it twice – Inefficient

2 – The list of inventory required is still manual – If this isn’t changed to computerised, there’s the risk of this list being lost/destroyed (Poka Yoke)

3 – No back up reindeer – With so much of the operation undertaken in one night, should a reindeer get injured/ill, the whole operation would be in jeopardy. Back up reindeers required (FMEA)

4 – Huge inventory requirements – JIT system to be looked into

Santa was able to access some of the various funding streams for training Track Training has access to in order to put in place the Lean training. Track Training is pleased to announce we will be implementing Kaizen projects to pursue eradication of the identified wastes in time for Xmas 2019.
