31 Mar 2017 April 2017 - The New Employer Levy Launches

In April 2017 the Government will be introducing a new Apprenticeship Levy to all employers across the UK.  If your payroll bill exceeds £3 Million annually then your business will be within scope to pay this tax to HMRC.  The only way you can recoup this cost is by investing in training apprentices - for either new or existing staff in new job roles.

If you would like support in implementing your Apprenticeship Levy strategy and guidance on training and funding opportunities, contact us today for a discussion or visit by one of our team.

Do not ignore this tax because it is 0.5% of your annual payroll in 2017 - but in the future it might be increased, so companies are encouraged to try and work with the scheme to introduce succession planning and future-proof their business through training utilising the framework of an apprenticeship.
