29 Nov 2013 New Partnership with Leeds City College

The Skills Support for the Workforce Project is led by Leeds City College in partnership with the Leeds City Region Skills Network and funded by the Skills Funding Agency and European Social Fund.  The project supports the development of a skilled and adaptable workforce in the Leeds City Region and Barnsley.  Group Business Development Manager, Viv Compton said "finding partners in the North of England is an important part of our strategy in order to support the employers we work with across the country who are all very keen to develop their staff but often only have very limited training budgets, if any.  This project will allow for a range of Continuous Improvement training to be undertaken in the workplace that will allow staff to achieve nationally recognised qualifications and companies to gain world-class manufacturing techniques at operative level through to senior level - so everyone benefits".
